Split, Merge and Bulk Convert, explained

Convat Team · 28 May 2026 · 5 min read

Conversion is the door most people walk through, but the power tools are where Convat earns its keep. Three of them get the most use: Split, Merge and Bulk Convert. Here is when to reach for each.

Split: turn one heavy acca into safer slips

A fifteen-leg accumulator is a lottery ticket. One upset and the whole thing is gone. Split takes a big slip and breaks it into several balanced, smaller slips so a single bad leg no longer wipes you out. You choose how aggressive the split is, and Convat distributes the selections so each resulting slip carries a sensible mix of risk.

Merge: fuse several codes into one master slip

Merge is the opposite move. You have three or four codes you like, maybe from different friends or different books, and you want them on a single slip. Merge reads each code, combines the selections, removes duplicates, and produces one master booking code, even when the inputs came from different platforms.

Bulk Convert: eight codes, one run

If you run a group or simply switch books often, converting codes one at a time is tedious. Bulk Convert takes up to eight booking codes and converts them all to your chosen target in a single run, in parallel, with a clear per-code result so you can see exactly what matched.

Which one do I want?

Reach for Split when a slip feels too heavy. Reach for Merge when you want several ideas on one ticket. Reach for Bulk Convert when you have a stack of codes and a single destination. All three sit on the same conversion engine, so the matching is just as accurate as a single conversion.
